The search is on for the 2017 Geelong Father of the Year!

The Geelong Father of the Year Award, now in its 18th year, is a partnership between Bethany Community Support, the Rotary Club of Geelong and the Geelong Advertiser.

The Award invites children to explain why their dad - or any special man in their life - deserves to be the 2017 Geelong Father of the Year.

The Geelong Father of the Year Award is a celebration of the special role that men play in families and community, as viewed through the eyes of children.

Children are encouraged to consider the values of positive role models, and think about how their 'special bloke' is respectful and caring.

The Award winner will be announced at a breakfast event on Thursday 31 August.

 To enter:
  • Write in around 150 words or less about the man you think should be the 2017 Geelong Father of the Year.
  • You can use a combination of words and pictures.
  • Download this entry form, attach it to your nomination, and return it to Bethany.
  • Forms to be completed by parent/guardian.
  • Nominations close: Wednesday 16 August.
