Saver Plus

Saver Plus is a matched savings and financial education program designed to encourage lower income earners to develop a savings habit. Participants make regular deposits towards a savings goal over a ten month period and attend workshops to build their financial management skills. When they reach their savings goal, ANZ matches the amount up to $500.

An initiative of ANZ and the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Saver Plus was first piloted in 2003 and has since supported more than 32,000 people to save. The program is now delivered in 60 communities across Australia, in partnership with Berry Street, The Benevolent Society, The Smith Family and other local community organisations including Bethany. The program is funded by ANZ and the Australian Government.

For families on lower incomes, the benefits of saving even small amounts include protection from financial shocks, building confidence in managing money and dealing with financial challenges.
